Waking up with alarm clock! From brushing teeth to ironing your clothes; life is somewhat monotonous when you are not happy from heart. The concept of happiness is very difficult as it comes from within you. I would love to be happier, as I’m sure most people would, so I thought it would be interesting to find some ways to become a happier person and share it with the world.

1# Exercise Morewoman-exerciseDaily 10 minutes exercise can help you to relax, increase your brain power and even improve your body image, even if you don’t lose any weight. It is a great way to stay happy and healthy.

2# Sleep Morewoman-sleepingSleeping more helps us focus and be more productive. It turns out, it’s also important for our happiness. Of course, how well and how long you sleep will probably affect how you feel when you wake up, which can make a difference to your whole day.

3# Work Hardwoman-working-hardOur responsibities towards the office can have a surprisingly powerful impact on our happiness. Five days a week, makes it unsurprising effect that would build up over time and make us happy gradually.

4# Spend time with friends and familywoman-with-friendDon’t regret on your death bed when you have enough time to spend some quality time with your family and friends.

I love the way Harvard happiness expert Daniel Gilbert explains it:
“We are happy when we have family, we are happy when we have friends and almost all the other things we think make us happy are actually just ways of getting more family and friends. “

5# Go Outsidewoman-going-outsideThe American Meteorological Society published research in 2011 that found current temperature has a bigger effect on our happiness. It also found that happiness is maximized at 13.9°C, so keep an eye on the weather and go outside to have some fresh air.

6# Help Otherswoman-helpingOne of the most counter-intuitive pieces of advice I found is that to make yourself feel happier, you should help others. Stretch your hand a bit further to help the one who needed the most.

7# Practice Smilingwoman-smilingSmiling itself can make us feel better, but it’s more effective when we back it up with positive thoughts. Smiling makes us feel good which also increases our attention flexibility and our ability to think holistically.

So next time keep these points in your mind before going into depression! Or after reading this, you will never go into it.
