Libra Legends, first of the six teams of Masters Champions League (MCL) signed up former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly for the inaugural edition of the MCL Twenty20 tournament, to be held in the United Arab Emirates in January 2016.

The team, owned by Pooja Jhunjhunwala, Hanwant Khatri and Lalit Kiri of Popcorn Sports & Entertainment Private Limited, is the first team to be unveiled for the league on Monday at Mumbai. Sourav will join a host of retired cricket legends like Adam Gilchrist, Virender Sehwag, Wasim Akram, Kumar Sangakkara, Shoaib Akhtar, Brain Lara, Mahela Jayawardene, Jacques Kallis and Brett Lee.


“We are happy to announce Sourav Ganguly as a member of our team. We are privileged to have such a player like him in our side. We wish to give quality entertainment to the fans through this league,” the Libra Legends co-owner said here on Monday. The tournament will start on 28th January and go on till 14th February 2016 in the United Arab Emirates.
